A. Baseplate Features

Mustang's one-piece FXR seats can be used on any 1982-94 and 99-2000 models. The formed steel baseplate has a nose tab as well as mounts for the stock hinge and latch.
A chrome rear tab secures to the fender with a stock screw. Rubber bumpers help isolate vibration and carpeted base protects the fender. If the hinge and latch are not used, Mustang's nose bracket #75080 is required to engage the nose tab of the one-piece seat.

B. Removal of Stock Seat

One-Piece
1. Remove rear screw located at back of seat.
2. Slide seat back and up.

Two-Piece
1. Unlatch solo to expose hinge.
2. Push plastic clip off of hinge using small screwdriver or fingers.
3. Slide solo seat back to clear hinge and remove.
4. Unbolt hinge and latch from bottom of solo.

Passenger Seat
1. Remove rear fender screw.
2. Remove front mounting bolts.
3. Slide seat back and up to remove.

C. Mounting of Mustang Seat

A. Seat nose bracket option:
1. Bolt steel bracket to rear mounting holes on the gas tank.
2. Engage nose tab into nose bracket.
3. Secure rear fender screw.

B. Hinge and latch option:
1. Mount stock hinge and latch system to Mustang seat.
2. Secure rear fender screw.
