A. Baseplate Features
The two-piece, marine-grade fiberglass baseplate is a direct replacement for the stock, two-piece seat. Rubber bumpers are positioned to prevent the seat from touching the frame and fender. For general information about Mustang seat construction Click Here. |

B. Removal of Stock Seat
- The stock seat is removed by inserting the ignition key into the left sidecover and turning the key counterclockwise. This will unlock the nose of the seat. Lift nose of the seat up a few inches, then forward and off.
- With solo seat removed, use a 10mm socket to remove the 2 rear seat mounting bolts from fender bracket.
- Lift front of rear seat up then forward to remove.

C. Mounting of Mustang Seat
Rear Seat
Our seat is installed just like the stock seat. Rear seat must be installed first.
- Slide the tongue on the rear seat bracket into the U-bracket on the fender.
- Push the seat back until the seat bracket aligns with the front fender bracket holes.
- Install the stock 8mm bolts through bracket and tighten with a 10mm wrench.

Solo Seat
Note: Make sure that the toolbag is not overstuffed and be sure it sits into the frame as low as possible.
- Slide the solo seat rear bracket into the fender mounted receiver.
- Push the solo seat back until it stops.
- Align the nose bracket with the frame receiver and push down until a click is heard. The solo is now locked.

| To remove solo, insert ignition key into the left sidecover and turn counterclockwise. The nose is now unlocked. |
